Kabluewy added to my ignore list... It's much more enjoyable now... It's a shame people like that have nothing better or more constructive to do with their time. I don't get it...

Dave,

I hope the outcome of this thread doesn't deter you from posting more of your future work. Disrespect should not be tolerated. I just got done reading your book, an excellent piece. It really answers a lot of the questions that the other stock-making books left me asking. You sure make it look easy. I'm hoping to see more of your work...

BTW, what does the rifle weigh? And is the bolt handle a new one or just a reshaped original? I like the smooth look to it.

x2! The custom built rifle sub-forum is one of the few AR sections I watch closely...and more specifically, to see what the modern day masters are producing.

We needn't split hairs defining what "custom" means...we all know it when we see it!

Keep up the great work!

Let's start over with a clean slate and display respect and dignity to all our members who post their feelings and to the silent ones. None of us want to see it.

I have waited for three years to get my custom gun in the past. I did not like it but I put up with it and gladly. By the results I will not hesitate to do it again. I am sure with our state of mind , we all have a few rifles that can be used in the mean time.
I appreciate all gunsmiths with their varied talents. Some have pushed the bar and dedicated their body and soul in the pursuit of perfection. They don't need to be chastised but encouraged. Believe me this world would be a boring place without the likes of Dave Westbrook, Weibe, Echol's, Smithson, Fred Wells, Miller's, etc....
I am sure all of us prefer to be in a hunting camp talking guns than slinging mud on the internet. Stay focused be safe and enjoy the forum for what it is.

I wonder if this gun generating five pages of discussion here would add to the value?

Dave ought to offer me a commission, if he's a real gentleman of class.
