Duane Wiebe (CG&R)375
This rifle was ordered for a 2020 Africa hunt... virus put that on hold, but on the plus side, took off delivery pressure.
Action is commercial 98, resided in a gun safe in FL for abut 25 years. Made it across the US and now is back in FL... with different owner.
The barrel is a Lothar Walther, wood furnished by Sharon Dressel, Roger Kehr engraving, Wiebe bottom metal... ready for 2021.
Owner will have a likeness of the first critter to drop engraved on the floorplate... Please don't let it be a hippo!

customboltAnother fine piece from end to end. Kudos to Sharon for the superb wood and Roger for his fine work as well.
Just out of curiosity, is there some plastic sealer between the stippling and the base on the rear bridge? If so, possibly liquid tape?
Thanks.

Duane Wiebe (CG&R)Sorry...can' figure out what you mean...are you seeing the hole for the rear base screw?

metalBloody nice rifles as usual Duane, well done. Do you use 8x40 screws on the bases?

customboltNo. Sorry to confuse Duane, had a brain fart. The [front] ring (not the bridge) has stippling on top. Just wondered if the you had felt that is was necessary to seal the somewhat uneven mating surface at the stippling beneath the scope base to keep out moisture. See arrow.

Duane Wiebe (CG&R)The action came to me with the ring stippled. Moisture...well...I'm told the only thing that's water tight is a crab's ass The rear sight is of my mfg, copy of Brno

Austin HunterBeautiful work as always!
But my favorite part of your rifles, oddly enough, is the fantastic stock inletting work! Metal on Wood!
