Great cartridge combo! I have them.

But I like more two identical rifles than a switch barrel one.

Happy New Year!

Duane,
As you may recall I posted with you on my Brno 21 7x57 and 9,3x62 and sent pictures and you requested how I switched barrels and I sent pics of the gun and wrench..I didn't have the skill then to do otherwise amd still don't! Big Grin but then I wasnt sold on the idea..two rifles suited me best, I still have my 9,3x62 and a 7x57, I can change rifles quicker than I could change barrels..

A proper, and more capable 2-barrel combination would be 7x64 and 9.3x62. The "obsolete" 7x57/.275 Rigby would not be controversial then. ;-)

Yep...my opinion only, but switch barrel guns can easily be descrfibed as mostly a solution in search of a problem

I like the Blaser switch barrel straight pulls. Amazingly handy, accurate and reliable.

Then there’s the Savage 110. Harder to switch barrels but still can be done relatively quickly. The rifles are accurate and the price is right.

For more money, you can’t go wrong with a Sauer.

Anything custom is just too damned difficult and costly, IMHO.

None of those choices send my flag up the pole...but ....I'm pretty traditional

Nothing whatsoever against your fine work, Duane!

Just saying that I would not spend my money on a custom switch barrel.

On a custom, I’d rather spend it on better wood or engraving! Big Grin

Most of the cars I have rented in Europe don't have room in the trunk for a full size rifle case. My R93 is probably my least favorite rife in some ways, but possibly my most used. I have two barrels for it but only travel with one at a time. Also have left and right bolts so can loan to the lefty's if needed. Can switch out day scope, thermal or NV and all go back to zero. It's a tool. It is but ugly and it stretches cases so much that I have to partial resize to get the best accuracy.
