k-9 kripplerpre 64 stock.
I've been whittling away at this one here and there. Finally got the pours all filled, and got one good coat of oil on it now. Figured I'd post a few pics just for something to talk about. I'm not a big fan of that pad, but the guy this is for had bypass surgery about ten years ago. He just recently had a heart attack, got a stint, and needed a soft pad. That's the softest red pad I could find.

vicvanbNice stock! For my tastes it's a little light colored--if the photos are accurate. I'd have darkened it a little with stain, but that's just me.

Elton: It appears to be all original
"pristine" chambered in 30 GOV 06. How long has it been since they were stamped like that?

They went to "30-06 SPRG." stamping in 1950.

Jury still out on that one!
When the blank was bought I was told
it was Turkish. I thought it looked
like English myself, but I've only
cut one English blank. Color seems
light to me for Turkish, or what
I have delt with. Just to be honest
by looking I don't know how to tell
the difference?
