Currently two 1909 Peruvians for sale on Gunbroker. One has been slightly bubba-ized while the other remains in military trim.

Second one looks like it would make a good donor if the reserve isn't too high. Too bad about the stock.

Don't know from a collectors stand point how hard the military version is to find in that condition or whether it should be considered a donor.

The second one looks like it would make a nice donor. 2 hours left and it might be a good deal at +-$400.

Which AR member is going to snatch it up?

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

I just sold an unaltered military configuration with non-matching bolt at our local gun show for $550.
