Austin HunterHave you looked at the Kickeez pads? Damn - they have a RED pad - like bright red.

I refuse to use the Kick-eez pads; don't have enough life span left to clean up the mess after grinding one down. Besides, they are made by an archery company!
And, the client specified the Pachmayer.

McKayI would try the NECG pads. I had Butch Searcy use one on a second hand rifle I bought from him a couple years ago. He said he was first reluctant about changing but in the end he said it was one of the easier pads to grind.

eagle27I replaced the ventilated pad on my Mauser 404 with an Old English Decelerator red pad and wanted to shorten the longish LOP that the Type A Mauser has. I had even considered taking a bit off the butt stock to achieve the same result. Fortunately I did not as the 1" Decelerator pad actually made the LOP feel shorter even though I replaced 1" with 1".
