Win M70 416 Ruger left hand
Jim Wisner did the metal work including a 4 round drop floorplate. Old McMillan fiberglass stock filled with lead shot and resin, Ceracoted Patriot brown with black webbing. 1.1-4 Schmidt & Bender. About 12 pounds. I do have a factory wood stock if I don't mind getting pounded. Photos: https://imgur.com/gallery/klPxAXe

Jim always does fine work. The Ruger 416 should really get more atrention in the DGR field.

I've always thought if they named it "416 Express" instead of "416 Ruger" they'd have a winner

I built a couple of 416 Rugers necking up the 375 Ruger for a local doctor in Twin FAlls early on, and he sure liked them..Neat caliber, if I was to make Africa these days I would build one, but my African days are over, mother nature and mother Atkinson have put the hammer on overseas hunts, steer roping, and trips to Texas, well pretty much..

BTW, I sold a 500 on an Enfield for Jim some time ago and shot it a few times and his workmanship is A plus, perfection.

Jim said that the gun feeds 416 solids as slick as goose shit on a wet lawn. I agree. As soon as I fire it I instinctively crank in another round. At 12 pounds I could shoot it all day.

The stock came on another left hand M70. I think it had been around the block several times, as Jim said he cut through four different bedding layers while bedding this rifle. I couldn't guess which model it might be.
