Wiebe 416 Takedown
A friend had Duane Wiebe build him a 416 Rigby take-down rifle on a Satterlee action several years ago. He's never used it. He has about $25K into it and would expect about the same. Exquisite rifle. Let me know if interested and I'll get photos and other details.

Michael RobinsonNow, that is a fine rifle, indeed!
A rifle that any man would be fortunate and proud to own.
I wonder if the laminated stock was chosen because of the greater strength and rigidity it provides in a take-down?
In any case, it’s a thing of beauty.

Mike, my thoughts exactly. One can't afford any warping or play with a take-down rifle.

dogcatDakota 76 Traveler has not had warping issues that I have heard of. I talked to the new folks - Parkwest - and they said the same.
I love the takedown and this one is a dandy.
Shame it’s in a laminate stock or I would be very interested.
Have a Wiebe 500 Jeffrey takedown that is a great rifle!
Mac, yes...strange option, with everything else being top-notch.

Aaron LittleI can respect the use of laminate on a serious use rifle! Stable, strong, can still be shaped to fit the customer, and the additional weight could be beneficial on a big bore.
Granted, probably not fun to make.

I owned a Sterling Davenport 416 Rigby for years;
it was an excellent laminate stock.
But no thanks as to takedown bolt action rifles:
extra metal weight to no purpose.
An 1886 TD Winchester that I have is a different rare rifle.
