Something you do not see every day, four consecutively numbered 1909's. Part of me does not want to break them down but part of me does.

Shame, looks like 3 of them were sold...

It looks like the two with the lowest numbers are sold, the two with the higher consecutive numbers are still available

You are correct. I saw the three sold markers and assumed. You know what they say about ass-u-me dancing

Just me this time!

Tough call. $500 each is hard to pass up. Same with the nice clean 1912 Steyr at $390.

Life itself is a gift. Live it up if you can.

Shouldn't that be 7.65X53?

Maybe... maybe not.

A lot of 1909's that were brought into the states were opened up to .30-06. Which is 7.62x63.

I buy Mauser actions, parts, micrometers, tools, calipers, etc. Specifically looking for pre-WWII Mauser tools.

I replaced the original trigger with a Timney, well I tried but didn't have the tools or smarts. I then took it to a local smith. He called when ready and said he didn't test fire it because he didn't have any 7x57 or 8x57, I don't remember which! Anyway, I'm glad for him and my rifle he didn't!

I meant to be DSC Member...bad typing skills.

Wow that would have made an awesome matched pair of high dollar custom rifles..I say this as the collectors cringe, but so be it

They sold at about $100 more per action than a plain old 1909 so collector value wasn't what I thought it would be..

Better to make them worth much much more with customing them as a matched pair.. Just my two bits
