I picked up this Worthen 1922 Hornet several years ago. My son has taken a liking to it as it has a relatively short length of pull, and very little report. I had to go to Trinidad CO this week and when i do i generally stop off and do some prairiedog shooting. Ben wanted to go this year, and naturally he wanted to take the Worthen Hornet. This was his first shot. Just the head and shoulders sticking out of the hole.

We were not in a really dense town, but ended up getting about a dozen between us with the Hornet in a couple hours. The most cool part was getting to see a bald eagle land and pick up one of our dead dogs and carry it off.

It is quite unusual as it has the Monte Carlo but no cheek piece. I guess that makes it ambidextrous. Other features of the gun look very much barney Worthen, and it is so marked on the barrel. Just got back from visiting with Chuck and Clayton out here in Trinidad and spent some time looking at a Worthen 03 take down that just arrived.

watch out calling her a young man if u saw her u would certainly tell the difference at 15 she has a turkey,2 white tail, and a Russian bore to her credit used a jp sauer 30/06 on that hog shot 3 times = 3 holes don't mess with madison

Thanks ISS and David. I've probably ruined him forever as far as factory rifles go he'll never be happy with one.
