ak49Another Ruger no 1
I started this project a year ago when I bought a Ruger in 30-06, we have in Mexico City a good stockmaker, so I started obtaining the material for this project a blank from Hunterbid, open sights from NECG, a Dakota quarter rib, an stutcheon from NECG, a silvers recoil pad, Talley rings a rear tang from Mr. Duane Wiebbe, only for looks its not soldered, made the design for the stock and after a few months here is the final product, Thanks and good hunting

ak49The stock maker is Mr. Mario Rosales from Mexico City, as you see his work is first class, he works the old fashion way, no power tools, only works with daylight, but his stocks are as you sadi fantastic.

fla3006Really nice, especially since Sr. Rosales probably does not have the opportunity for much practice in Mexico.

ak49On the contrary Sr. Rosales makes about 15 to 20 gunstocks a year plus installing pads, refinishing, recheckering, bending, etc. There is another very good stockmaker in the Mexico City area Mr. Madrigal and he has a truckload of work too.Regards
