RJ,

I will be the very first to admit that I have a hard time putting Ruger/Custom/and/.204 in the same sentence, and I truly thought this was going to be another "my tactical is better than yours thread, (even though the gun and owner have never been, nor will they ever be, remotely involved in anything "tactical" related, (other than a fight with the wife over the cost of course)...LOL)"..However, I also fully realize that I should never judge others views, without at an absolute minimum, considering fully every perspective of their functional point of view.

I have to say...In consideration of your proven effective use at 400-500yds...This is an absolutely beautiful setup ! clap

Butch you beat me to it.. It looks to me as if it would be an encumbrance.

Bolt allows me to cycle the gun easier while the gun is shouldered. This gun was built for shooting coyotes and it is common to call in pairs or to miss, it's nice to have a quick follow up. The bolts are made for a reason, not looks. As you can see I had the gun without an extended bolt and I felt it would be an advantage especially in the winter wearing heavy gloves so I had one put on and love it.
