butchlocpair of insects
finally got my winter project finished. This pair of insects are a 218 mashburn bee and a 219 donaldson wasp. I've had the bee for awhile, but the wood needed replacing. joe steele had the martini action that he had redone from a rimfire into a centerfire. I fitted a new extractor for the wasp polished the action interior and exterior, screwed on the barrel and sent it to jim kobe for chambering, and as long as he has so much time on his hands he drilled the stocks for the thrubolts, something which always gives me fits. The wood is turkish from luxus, who furnished me with a blank large enough to cut both stocks out of. carol at ahlmans cut the checkering, doing her normal excellent job. Now they sit next to a 17 ackley bee and a 22 hornet. might have to rename that gun cabinet the hive.

J.D.SteeleMan, you did GOOD with that little action! I especially like the curve of the finger lever/PG line, it's something I never seem to get just right....
These small varminter type rifles are where the little Cadet action really shines!
Regards, Joe
