Texas Blue DevilBrowning Mauser Value
What would a pristine (as new with box) Belguim made Browning Mauser be worth. The serial number is L2 1XXX0. A gentleman that I know inherited the rifle from an uncle. He has no idea how old the rifle is.
The rifle looked brand new, and the box was in good shape. Browning Mauser and Safari Grade were printed on the box. Made in Belgium was engraved on the rifle.
He is thinking about selling the rifle because the caliber is 375 H&H. He hunts deer and ducks, not buffalo.
Any information about the value and age of the rifle would be appreciated.
Thanks!!

Bwana1Has it been checked for saltwood?
Short or long extractor ? Pictures would be a great help .
Having owned several of these rifles, L2 indicates 1962 date code, so no salt wood. What caliber, ( see caliber is posted) makes a difference in value. Please post pictures if you can.

Very important, but it would be evident by now. Great guns, but that affliction hurt many.

Duane Wiebe (CG&R)Other would robably know..but along about the 60's, FN bought into the hype of bolt face ejectors and extractors...thereby eliminating controlled round feeding.
An improvement that was a giant step backwards. I would think would diminish value

275RIGBYBeing a 1962 (L2 XXXXX) Browning High Power Safari Grade, it's a long extractor. I've owned several through the years, they are nice Mauser-action rifles.
