SDHSummer Gunmaking Seminars in Montana
I am organizing Summer Seminars for 2016 and wonder if any of you are interested in attending the Intro to Custom Stockmaking or Small Shop Metal Finishing: Rust Bluing?
The Metal Finishing class would entail rust bluing a couple of gun parts you brought pre-polished and complete hand polishing of a rifle action ready to rust blue. Also Nitre bluing and discussion of other blung and polishing techniques.
The Stockmaking class would entail inletting a Mauser or M-70 or single shot into a machined stock and would require having a barreled action and stock blank. I can help finding someone to do the stock machining.
There would be a lot of lecture and demonstration and we might make a couple of chisels or scrapers.
The Metal Finishing:Rust Bluing Seminar will be the last week in June 20-24, 2016.
The Stockmaking seminar will be the first week in September 5-9, 2016.
Tuition would be $1675 for 5 days.
These classes typically fill very quickly.
Please let me know ASAP or give me a call if you have questions: 406-222-9377

Looks like the Stockmaking is full up, pending deposits. There are still two benches for the metal Prep Rust Bluing Seminar...
