Octagonal Barrel Band

Wise1Octagonal Barrel Band
I recently bought a rifle that has been discussed here before.
It is a custom 375 H&H built on a Zastava action, though its provenance remains a mystery. If any of you has a guess as to its maker(s), I'd love to hear them.
Now, the front sling eyelet is simply soldered onto or screwed into the barrel. I'm sorry I don't have a photo of that.
My question is this - would it be possible to have a sling swivel barrel band made to match the front sight band and who can perform the task?
Here is the front sight:
Thanks in advance.

D HumbargerShould not be to hard to do BB. The fly in the ointment might be getting that front sight off without damaging it. Have to take it off to put that band on.

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

Fal GruntMaybe I erroneously believed the front sight to be integral to the barrel? If it is not, as Mr.Humbarger stated, it would be "simpler".
If it is integral, well, then one would have a much more difficult time making a close copy.

I buy Mauser actions, parts, micrometers, tools, calipers, etc. Specifically looking for pre-WWII Mauser tools.

J.D.SteeleWell, of course it would be simple to fab an octagon-hole swivel band and then cut the top out, PROVIDED that the OD of the front band will permit the passage of the ID of the swivel band.
But then, will this appearance please the owner, with the top of the swivel base missing?
Alternative: fab a complete 2-pc octagon swivel base that is so dimensioned that the two halves will meet with a hairline-almost-invisible parting line while hugging the barrel closely at the desired point. Soft-solder the halves together on the rifle, relying on some attractive & appropriate engraving or stippling to hide the tracks.
Simple enough for even a journeyman smith but perhaps not the strongest attachment.
Regards, Joe

Hadn't thought of it being integral. I'm slipping!. Can we see a close up photo of the muzzle showing the front of the front sight band/ramp? That should tell the story.
