Thank you, Mr. Hughes! The 303 Mausers have always fascinated me. A friend of mine, who is originally from South Africa, told me that his father recently sold an Oberndorf commercial sporter in 303 that had been in his family for a very long time. More money was offered than could rationally be refused, it seems. Mauser made very few for Rigby, and even fewer under their own name.

Thank you Mr Hughes! Great article. Answers most of my questions. See they "hogged quite a bit of material out of the mag well. Do you have any pictures of the barrel detail/engraving. Facinating rifle.

The only engraving on the barrel is Rigby and the Sackville address, same as any Rigby of the era. No pic...
