Barrel Swivel
Can anyone tell me where to buy a barrel swivel that fits on the bottom of the barrel only - not a full barrel band? Thanks in advance.

New England Custom Guns/Recknagel should have something to satisfy your search.

If you can't find one Steve Button can make you one.

He is making one for my 10.75x68 he is building.

Steve does great work & prob would have a pretty fast
turnaround.

Plus he would make it the shape & style you want.

He is making the one for me to look like an early
Rigby one, with the big sling eye hole.

Cheers, Allen

Here is an example of our sling swivel for reference if you are having one made.

Kent, I'm glad you are participating on AR here!
Good to have you here!

I'm having a 10.76x68 built.
I know, not a caliber Rigby
probably chambered for, but hey who knows! Smiler

We are trying to make it as Rigby like as we can.
It is an open sight rifle only. Old School!

Would you be so kind as to tell us some of the basic
dimensions of your sling base are.

Thanks, Allen

Well, that one's on a 275 Rigby. The ones we make for our .416s are of the barrel banded type. You'll have to trust the guy that's making yours to make it proportional to your gun.

The one pictured is patterned from the one that is on one of Jim Corbett's guns we made in 1907.

We'll have both guns at DSC and SCI if he wants to see it in person before making yours.

Thanks Kent, just the pic is a help.

I'm sure he can figure it out from there.

Please keep posting some progress pics as the Queens
Rifle comes along.

Cheers, Allen

Recknagel/NECG make a few options and one (as used by Verney-Carron) can be fixed by two screws so that it can be retro fitted without the need of re Bluing.

I have taken the band swivel and contoured it, removed the top half, and attached it that way with solder. Wish I still had a picture.
