I believe we have the 4 student Max for the Phase 2 Stock Shaping.
Phase 1 Inletting still has room, will have much lecture and demonstration and several custom rifle examples by a few top makers to examine inside and out.
Benchwork will focus on Inletting from a pre-machined stock, Single shot, bolt action, some shotgun. All projects must be instructor approved so you can expect professional results. Forging, filing, hardening, tempering and sharpening a scraper and chisel from tool steel.
Firm dates in September are still open to convenience...
Let me know if you are interested, this is a golden opportunity for the right guys...

Evan K.I was really hoping to make a return trip to Montana this year after attending the 2013 September seminar, but unfortunately won't be able to.
It was my first seminar on stockmaking/gunmaking and a great experience. If you are thinking about going, all I can say is do it.
"If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy."
In the first photo in Evan's post we are inspecting the inletting of a Jerry Fisher M-70. A major part of the Seminar experience is learning to recognize and emulate high quality custom gunmaking.
Evan's own M-70 is finished and he shot a whitetail with it last fall.
There is nothing like the experience of hunting with a fine custom rifle, one that you made yourself is on another level of enjoyment.

We'll need to do an update photo on that #1 project!
Highly recommend these classes to anyone interested. It's time & money well spent!
Bring the #1 along in June, Lee, I'll shoot some studio pics. I figure you will have some pics with dead animals in the fall…
