Idaho SharpshooterPac-Nor service...
I am having Jim Kobe do the metal work on a 425
Westley Richards on a Colombian Military Mauser 98. Always wanted one, but the rebated rim stopped me. The answer was just to open the bolt up to magnum size, and use 404 Jefferys or RUM brass to make the cases.
Pac-Nor is one of two companies I know that is making .425/.435 dimension barrels. They quoted me $275 for a 28" #5 contour barrel. I ordered it on December 3rd. Got an Email from them a few minutes ago. It shipped this morning. Five weeks for a non-standard barrel is pretty wonderful.

Aaron LittlePac-nor is who I use also. All barrels I have ordered have been delivered before the quoted time, all of them are also customer contours and often odd calibers. Big props to Jay and Pac-nor barrels.

npd345it only took them about 3 months to get me my 550 Gibbs barrel. That was contoured and chambered (I sent in the reamers; Rich's).
That was also a special run as it started as 1 1/2 blank.

kiwiwildcatI've had Pac Nor in the past, excellent barrel and very accurate. Came down here to NZ no issues as well (back in the days when an export permit not required)

martAnother Pacnor fan. They did two barrels for me a while back. They sent one barreled action out for bluing and were not happy with it and sent it back out to be reblued before they would send it to me. Great company.
