Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

HuviusFor some reason, I find myself wanting another 404...
Really is good to see this gun brought back from the brink. And I mean that - you guys should see what he had to start with. Just goes to show what some vision, time and talent can produce.
Great gun!

Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.
There is a short write up here on what was done to the rifle.

WoodhitsFantastic, good for you for "saving" this classic.

Austin HunterIt would have been nice to have saved the original action for the restoration.

Would have been nice to HAVE the original action!
I have no idea why the action was the missing component when Steve took this on (I guess somebody wanted an engraved Jeffery action pretty badly) but as he said, having the original bolt, stock and that great barrel was enough to stoke the fire.

Duane WiebeI have a new monitor...one of those damn fool wide screens that distort everything. That is a standard 98 length action..right?
Can you tell us a little about capacity, feeding, function, shooting?
Looks nice!!!
All those curlycues aren't bad.

Duane,
that is one of your boxes....4 down. Steve Button did the feed work and it feeds flawlessly. I cut your bow and added the Oberndorf bow.
Steve
and it is a standard action.

tom schwegmanQuit nice "scrachin'" , very nice. INHO adds a nice touch to a classic firearm. Darn, it's what all or most nice bolts are all about.

Yeah....we remember it now....that action was kind of an attention-getter

SGButtonSteve, Glad to see that you got it finished. I remember making that box. It was the one that told us we could get 4 down in a standard depth. It looks great.

dwheelsWhen looked at with a critical eye, there is no individual feature or part that is dominant or that particularly apeals but the entire package oozes class. What a nice old classic. Great job.

Find a kid with nothing to do for 5 minutes and he should be able to set you're monitor straight for you.
