Have 1903 fullstock in 6.5x54, bluing gone, stock pretty beat up. Totally functional. Is it possible to re barrel to 308 case and put scope on it? it's not worth much relative to what's on gunbroker so I thought try to make it usable for me. I can't shoot irons anymore and would like something with a little more reach

That rotary magazine will really limit any change...without giant $$$$ I'd leave it as is. ANY change will decrease value and history

You can re-barrel to 7x57 without altering the magazine. The Daniel Fraser Velox MS Rifles are made that way.
