gasgunnerDavid Miller Co.
Are they still at it? I did a quick google search and could not find a web site, or really anything more recent than about 2016.
No, I am not in the market for a Miller rifle, just doing some research.
Thanks,
John

Jim@IMRepsI may be incorrect but I don't think that the David Miller Co. has ever had a website. Author Tom Turpin may be able to help your research, I believe he used to chime in on AR from time to time.

458WinLast I heard was the both Dave and Curt have slowed down due to health issues. Hopefully both are enjoying some well deserved personal time.

Jim@IMRepsA while back I saw on one of the gun brokerage websites listings for Dave's RH and Curt's LH Marksman 300Wby Mags. While people sell their guns all the time, my hope at the time was that this wasn't a harbinger of things to come for a great house, the David Miller Co.

I was kind of hoping he would see this and give us an update. I have enjoyed his writings over the years.

robert lernerI purchased a used David Miller rifle in november 2020, a classic not a marksman, I called David several times to get alittle intel on the rifle but never received a response. Was able to track down and bother Tom Turpin regarding the rifle ( thanks again Tom) Tom got in contact with Curt and the message relayed to me is that the shop is essentially shut down . Bummer, truly an end to an era.

Bummer indeed if true. They set the standard for many years.

Kolo-PanFor anyone who is interested and doesn't already know there is a book by Tom Turpin Called "Mastery of Wood and Metal". It is an entire book on the David Miller Company. My favorite rifle in there is the Safari Club Elephant Rifle which was built on a 1909 Argentine Mauser Action, and engraved by none other than Lynton McKenzie.
Attached is a photo of an early David Miller creation made for Jim Carmichael of outdoor life fame.I believe its a .338 WM as Carmichael himself built his own .458 WM.

JPetroniThey definitely produced some top of bar work in their day. I was always fascinated by the amount of work they put into the scope mounts. Truly custom

richj2006 - was the year that the wannamaker show and the engravers and quite a few gunmakers were all together in Vegas. Mr Turpin was there, with his book :-)
