Looks great! A pretty good wildcat. I would turn the rear bag around the correct way though.

The parent cartridge is the 408 Cheyenne Tactical. It was developed by Dr. John Taylor, a former researcher/professor at Wayne State University in Detroit.

John is a former Precision Shooting writer and worked on the cartridge and rifle full time after he retired from Wayne State.

I haven't talked to John in quite a while but, the last time I heard, he had bought a company to manufacture the 408 Cheyenne Tactical rifles. He was someplace out West.

If anyone has more information I would be interested. John is a very interesting character. The last time I talked to him he said that our troops were using his sniper rifles in the Middle East. He said the ragheads didn't like it and called it the "Cowards Weapon".

Years ago, when we were both writing for Precision Shooting, John and his gunsmith came up from Detroit for a visit and a long lunch. The gunsmith (Can't remember his name) had a brand new Porsche coupe and wanted me to drive it... I was chicken.

That's an extremely impressive rifle. If you have any more of that wood, please send it my way.
