ScrollcutterEngraving for son.
I always enjoy working on gift projects. Especially, when they are for family members.
This client is having a Dakota restocked for his son. The engraving is a commemoration of his first antelope taken with the rifle when it was still 100% Dakota.
Engraving is a McKenzie type open scroll and antelope is a facsimile of his shoulder mount. Lettering is Shaded Roman.

KimRWatched Lynton cut a lot of that scroll 40+yrs ago when he was down here.Thought it was pretty open for an English trained engraver.Shows what I know! But he did copy the layout on my Griebel engraved 44Magnum on a pistol.
