bwanamrmGreat rifle Duane!
On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Todd WilliamsThat rifle is a treasure! One of the most tastefully executed examples of classic lines and features.
Classic caliber, classic style, classic Wiebe...enough said!

Austin HunterHow many down in the mag? 3 or 4?
I have ZG47 waiting to become a 8x68s. I can't wait. I'm going to keep the funky factory safety.

DCS MemberWow! Artisans at work there. As Todd said, the classic lines are hard to beat.
I meant to be DSC Member...bad typing skills.

Sure nothing wrong with those safeties. I tell folks to just act as if you're cocking the rifle to fire

customboltAnother fine package by Duane & enhanced by Roger. Duane got me sold on this style of oval cheek piece.
Life itself is a gift. Live it up if you can.

Duane Wiebe (CG&R)What looked good and was practical a hundred years ago, doesn't leave much room for improvement. A departure from tradition is usually a step backward

customboltDuane: You should see My oval I just re-shaped from a traditional cheek piece. Hah!
Same shape as the subject rifle, yet lacking some of the nuances here.
The fully-sealed pore finish compliments it very well.

Duane Wiebe (CG&R)You should see some of my early stuff...Trying to buy them back and burn them!

Well, other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

customboltI have seen much of your early work. No shame there. They're still bringing $4K-ish +/-. Not bad for burn-barrel fodder. Hah!

Duane Wiebe (CG&R)Just got a shooting report from the owner. He gets three shots torching with factory ammo @100 yds.
The more I use Lothar Walther barrels, the better I like them

AtkinsonPlus 1 on Lw barrels, that's all Ive used for about the last 30 years maybe 40, can't be sure...
