The first link is the nice old custom Win. 54, the other link that is preceded by "this one for comparison" is one of Michael Petrov's old rifles.

Yes, they did get a good deal.

I lucked into this one a few years ago. Stock has seen some better days but the bore is pristine.

I bet it auctioned off at much more than $699,??

I like that 54, its a nice one, I like the schnable stock model as well.lean and mean, a hunters rifle..

My uncle many years ago, lent me a mod. 54 carbine in 30-06. the gun that turned me to the 30-06 as a better elk rifle than the 25-35 or 250 Savage..Then he took it back some years later and gave it to his son..I pouted for years over that, and still do..
