Nice.
The safety is a Dakota/PTG. Gentry uses a screw not a roll pin to retain the safety lever.
How's she shoot?

As with everything Mauser, Mike is exactly correct. We had discussed the Gentry and ordered one; however, it was on back order for months, as a matter of fact everything 3 position was on back order. Kevin found the Dakota and we made the switch. I've corrected the error in my ways above.

Yeah, I waited 6 months for Gentry to deliver a Left Handed 98 safety. FWIW, I've had far fewer problems with Dakotas than with Gentrys.

Heed the words of Winston Smith in Orwell's 1984:
"Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right."
