Small after market Actions
Is there someone making a small action to use as a .22 Hornet round or bolt face small enough.

C sharps is offering their 1885 lo-wall

I have used one to make a 218 bee and I like it very well. the action is the thick side version but I remilled mine to a thin side. and that made it a lot nicer I think
I would post a picture of mine but they wont let me post pictures yet (not a member long enough)
you can look at my website and there is a picture

Look in the single shot forum for the thread on Falling Block Works.

Defiance Machine makes a Remington model 7 copy but getting the magazine and follower could be an issue for any bolt action you buy.

The BAT action is a single shot, if that matters. You can have it in two diameters; small and smaller.

As for magazines, I think with some work one could use Savage DBM bottoms and box magazines. That would be a one-off custom job and not too cheap.

The CZ 527 is made for the Hornet.

I read that Hornady is coming out with a 17 Hornet - why - I have no idea. But obviously there will be rifles made for it, which will also work with any Hornet derivitive.

I did a search a while back for small actions because the rem 700 seems like overkill for a hornet. I ended up buying a cooper M38. My second choice was the CZ 527. There's also the ruger 77/22 and a few other discontinued and hard to find rifles. I'd didn't like the ruger because it's just as long as a full size action. The cooper is basically just scaled down, so it's a good fit.
