I just returned from the range with my latest creation.....and here it is:

English walnut with cocobolo trimmnigs. It's a model 70 push feed .264 Win mag and it shoots 120 grain and 100 grain TTSX to the same point of impact at roughly 1.125 " at 100 yards.....some more tweaking coming at this juncture......OH...and for those that like long barrels on their .264, I split the difference with you....it's 23 ".... it's a Douglas barrel.

Beautiful rifle! I love walnut and cocobolo.

Sweet.

Maybe, everyone needs a .264 is stretching it, but everyone needs a good custom rifle shod in fine walnut with blued steel.....definately.

I've got a 6.5mm SAUM, which pushes 140gr Berger Hunting VLDs at 3075fps from a 24 inch barrel, a short action version of the .264 Winchester Magnum.

I agree. Everyone needs a 264.

Every serious rifleman also needs a .375 (I've just picked up a Pre 64 Winchester M70 that I'm going to get built into a custom .375 Ruger).
