Remington 721 Extractor ?
Does anyone have a 721 standard (30/06) replacement extractor they would sell ?

Many Thanks, they had 4 which may be the only 4 left in the USA. I bought 2. These are for Harry Selby's 721.

Did you find the correct bolt for the rifle? The pictures in the Rifleman article had a model 700 bolt in the rifle.

Jerry you are correct. Apparently he substituted a 700 bolt for the 721 when the extractor caved in on the original. The extractor for the 721 should put the original back in action I imagine.

I have a 721 rebarreled to .257 AI by Walter Womack about 50 years ago. Extractor still works but I know it can't last forever. I'm actually not looking forward to having one of the substitutes put on when it happens. For some reason I've gotten really fond of the 721 and 722, dumpy looks and all. Kind of like a VW beetle of firearms.

I have a 722 in .244 Remington and another one in .300 Savage. Both are very accurate rifles and are real fun to shoot. They don't look at all ugly to me, though some may say they are. Going to take the .300 Savage hog hunting this year.
