Best time for catamount....

Just curious to hear from the cat pros.....assuming there is no closed season, what would be the ideal time to hunt mountain lion in terms of coat and best odds of bagging one? Thanks.

Sorry wrong forum, the only Lions round here are pets. And nobody would be too happy about someone bagging one.
