Flea & Mite Control
My daughter-in law runs an Animal Shelter.
Talking with her today about fleas & mites she told me whatever you do- Do Not Use anything with PERMETHRIM.
It can kill a cat.
Treatments for dogs sometimes have it in it.
Just posting in case someone (like me ) doesn't know.

Yep.. Toxic to cats. I've even seen toxicity in a cat because it slept with and groomed the dog after it had been treated with a topical containing permethrin.

For fleas:
Take your cat to a movie. Buy it and the fleas popcorn. When the fleas get up for a drink of water, change seats.

Perhaps we are dealing with misspelling or different products but Pyrtherum, from the chrysathimum flower is a great flea deterent (works for fire ants too.)It is destributed in this country as Adam's spray. The reason that we had a shortage a few years ago is that the pyretherem plants come from central Africa. THe local warlords take farms + give them to their accolites who are not farmers + thus the market goes bust.Since I am already 'persona non grata' I suppose that my truthful opinion does not mean anything.

Once again,a refresher course. It kills cats + not dogs because dogs do not have pores. They 'sweat' by panting. The poison enters by the pores.
