They have one word in their language that means Thank you but they have forgotten what it is.

Could the dead mice, moles & rats left on the front porch be considered a "Thank You".

But of course. I remember the cartoonist Kliban had a book on cats + there were 2 cats setting on a fence + one says to the other,"If I had 2 dead rats,I'd give you one." AH,romance.
