Cal. 8 mm Steyr,carbine with 11-3/4†round bbl, military-style front sight and 2-leaf receiver mounted sight. It has a pistol-type receiver with box magazine and a full length round forearm with single band with a sling loop. It has a semi pistol grip stock with smooth steel buttplate and a slot through the butt for a sling.

Kind of reminiscent of a Remington Model 8, looks-wise.
