Any Swedish Mauser Fans?

hacksawtomI, to, am a Swede Mauser fan. It started with a M96, the a M38, then finally a M94. The accuracy is nothing short of unbelievable. I've fired groups with mine that would rival beat many modern scope sighted rifles. With the fast rifling twist for the original 160 gr. bullet, I figured I had to use heavier bullets to get the best accuracy until I tried some Sierra MK 120gr., wow, under a minute of angle at 200 meters. I had to change the front sights on mine also.

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

BMRThey sure are tough to come by in this kind of shape these days. The barrel on this one is absolutely mirror bright and perfect. This one also had a bunch of cosmosline in the bolt, like my Argentine, that I had to clean out. I watched an online video on how to get the bolt apart and it was really quite easy to do. I may just put away the scoped rifle and use this for deer hunting in WI this year. It shoots extremely well, and now that I have a different fron sight on it, I don't have to compensate for it shooting way too high.

Duce1OK, this is my first posting here but this postings is what got me join. I only have one Swed 6.5x55. It is one of the most rare ones you will find. Excuse my photo`s there poor quality but that all I have right now to get pictures of it. It has a manufacture date of 1898, number 279 of the first 300 that where delivered by there manufacture for the Swed government. I am not positive but I do not think this one was ever issued. I know by research that It was done with a phosphate finish to test before the Swed government decided to go with the blued finish for cost reasons.

tnekkccireload2,
great link. Why have I never seen that before?
2001) I paid $100 for Carl G '96 that I sporterized [drilled, tapped, and bent the bolt]. I have hunted with it.
2004) I paid $135 for a '38 Husq. Looks new. May still be unfired. I haven't shot it.
2006) I paid $80 for a '94 Carl G carbine, that someone cut down the stock, and the grooves at the muzzle are not shiney. I have not shot it yet.
All of them are all matching serial numbers. I don't find that in Mausers from countries that went to war with them.

seafire2I have one factory Swedish Mauser.. 1920 production date at the Carl Gustaf works... mine was supposedly a rarer sniper model, but the sniper sights were pulled off of it..
at the time I paid higher for mine, because of how good of shape it was in..
it is a fine shooter...
my sights are not the slide sights but is a circular site that goes from 100 to 600 metres....
the one by BMR is a rare find nowadays.. both in the quality of shape but also the price...
I've seen some places trying to sell them at $400.00 plus nowadays...
I'd love to have one with a bent bolt and a scope mount like the Swedish Military put on their sniper rifles....
my sniper rifle had a peep site of sorts on it once upon a time...

Perhaps. But Uncle Joe 'd murder them too, if he felt it necessary!
