1910 Mexican Mauser rifle, 7mm
What would be a fair price to pay for a 1910 Mexican Mauser in 7mm? It is complete and in very good condition. Also, what would be the best sourse of information on these rifles? Thanks for the help.

Military Mausers of the World has a lot of good info about the Mexican Mausers (and most of the others, for that matter). The last 1910 I bought complete cost me $175, but that was quite a while ago. - Dan

This link will take you to a site advertising one for $450. the accompaning photos indicate condition.
I have a 1912 Chillian I paid $US140 for but that was a bargin and rifles in similar condition fetch $280-350 if you can find one.

Depends which ones you're talking about. In the 98 designs, the first 1902's, 1907's, 1910's, and 1912's were made by Steyr. Some 1907's were made by DWM. There were also 1910's and 12's made in Mexico (the other makers were because they couldn't make enough of their own. 1924's (rifles and carbines, as were the 07's, 10's and 12's) were made by FN. The 12/33's were made by the Czechs (an early version of the 33/40 carbine) and the 36 and 54 models were made by the Mexicans themselves. The 02, 07, 10, 12, 36 and 54 are the small ring intermediate 98 design, I'm not sure about the 24's. The 36 and 54 have the Springfield type cocking pieces. HTH - Dan

I found a company yesterday that has four 1910 actions, good to very good. They are asking $298 each. I paid $50 for the ones I have ten or twelve years ago.
