the grips on the lower one, and the company has their name and address engraved on them- which I can't read, but I think I see "Ga" at the end of it.

about 14 years ago I remember the market seeing a lot of C96's imported from China- I own one, a cobbled together (in the US) standard C96 frame with a Bolo top.

off topic a bit here: I was working today with a man whose father was an NYC policeman many years ago, the guy told me his dad got in a gun battle with a bad guy using a C96.

I'm guessing those in the photos were put together in the same era, but guessing.
