something old and beautiful
A 1954 surplus police carbine,
A gentle cleaning, rubbing and polishing.
A whole lot more character than much of the newer stuff IMHO.[URL]

The good old German 8x57JS.
It is relatively accurate; @ 2"/50Y open sights
It has a muzzle blast like a flame thrower and it kicks like two mules together.I love shooting it! flame

Wonderful!
I used to have a Persian Mauser that looked just like yours. I guess mine was made in Eastern Europe sometime in the 30s, the bluing and polishing was perfect and beautiful.
Unfortunately I traded the rifle for an engagement ring for wife # 1. I've regretted both actions ever since.
