Guys: I am a complete novice as far as the AK goes. I've never had any kind of interest in them - just not my thing.

A lady at work brought me a brand new in the box AK to look at. Her father passed and she wants to get rid of his firearms. She asked if I had any idea of the value. I don't, and that is why I'm posting.

The receiver is stamped Poly Tech made in China, it is in the box with an bayonet, bottle of oil and what appears to be a twenty round magazine. Any help would be appreciated.

Kinda like someone bringing a pre war Winchester and wanting to know if it's junk!

Poly Techs are desirable to collectors due to the 94 import ban. A stamped Polytech would easily fetch $1000-1300, depending on condition.

The best place to sell it would be the Equipment Exchange on AR15.com in the AK section.
