Were would i be able to find information about my M96 swede?like value? Any information would be most appreciated.

Good M96's are going for $200 to $300, sometimes a bit more for something special.

The Swede is an exceptionally nice rifle. It's very accurate, and the workmanship is second to none.

Some people bend the handle, mount a scope, etc. to "improve" them. My personal theory is that you should do as little as possible to them, and just enjoy them for what they are. My one concession was Mojo sights, which can easily be removed. With Mojo iron sights, I can reliably do sub 2" groups at 100 yards.

One of my favorite loads for the Swede is 43.5 grains H4350, under a Hornady 129 grain pill, 3.025" COL, and a CCI 200 primer. It gives me 2800 fps.

You will enjoy the Swede a lot! It's a great milsurp. Excellent choice.

I have three M96 Swedish mausers from 1900, 1907, and 1917 that I've restored. Damn things are like peanuts. You never seem to get enough. We still have quite a few of them floating around at various gun shows. Most are in good shape although the wood shows wear from age. The Swedes, as you would expect, weren't as hard on their rifles as most countries.
Look hard at your next gun show. I'm sure you'll find some. Best wishes.

Just type in Swedish mauser in a search engine - you should get plenty of leads. Swedes can be worth about $150 for a beat to shit non-matching junker to WAY over $500 or more for a mint all matching sniper rifle enjoy.

I paid $49 for my all matching M96, in 1992!

Mint, all matching M41B sniper rifles go for more like $1300 to $1500 (with scope). Still a lot cheaper than most other snipers such as the K98k or 1903A4. Nice rifles!

I have three M96's from 1900, 1907 and 1917. Occasionally I'll leave my benchrest and target rifles in the gun cabinet, grab my old Swedes and head for the range. They're really a joy to shoot. I never seem to tire of them. Best wishes.

I have 5 swedes 3 m38s ,1 96/38 and 1 made from parts sporter.

Seeing what they are going for now anything under $250 is a good deal.

They are going way up in price.

I would not take less than $400 for any of my m38s now.

The Husqvarnas have beech stocks, Carl gustaffs and obendorfs walnut ,but many are restocked in beech.

Once in a while you will see a nice fiddleback walnut stock , very nice...
