Grizzly AdamsI have the identical gun, but without any markings except a serial number. Spanish made, or markings removed? Also, what's that star of David supposed to mean? Israeli use?

From what I've read the Star was a Loewe proof mark but I think Ludwig Loewe was Jewish.

SR4759This is a Spanish Model 93 with the square bottom bolt face.
Ludwig Lowe was slandered by an anti-Semite that claimed the company was delivering defective GEW 88s. Lowe won a law suit against the slanderer.
That is one VERY NICE Carbine! How does it shoot?
Mine's an 1891 Argentine that someone cut the saddle ring off, but left the staple. It's not in anything like the condition of yours.

Loewe was Jewish. My 1909 Argentine was made by Loewe, but has no star of David on it. A very accurate rifle, BTW.
