Don't know about replica barrels, but there are probably still some JA (Johnson Arms) barrels new in the wrap available. Do some google searches or ask on classifieds here or on www.gunboards.com

Dunno about replica barrels but during WW2 many M1917 were rebarreled with 2-groove barrels by Johnson and 4-groove ones from Hi-Standard. One of these might possibly be found but I know of noone making a replacement 5-groove left twist barrel with extractor cut & sight spline.

Check with Numrich GPC. If anyone has a M1917 barrel for you, they'll likely have it. There's just about no end to the "stuff" they have squirreled away in their warehouse; including a whole lot of merchanise they don't list in their catalog.

Or, if Numrich can't help you, call Springfield Sporters.

With as many M1917's that were made, somebody has a barrel for you.

It may not make any difference to a collector of military arms but, these barrels actually had a .311" groove and .303" bore. Many of the transition 1917's utilized the original British contract parts as these barrels were from the initial run made for the P-14's that Britain defaulted on the contract. An experiment on the part of Remington determined that they would still hold to the US "standard of accuracy" for the .30-06 cartridge and were utilized until they used them all, then they began using 2, 4 and 6 groove barrels. I have seen all of these bore configurations at one time or another.
