Today's Russian Navy
I've read the current Russian navy is barely operational, but does anyone know if it still has a carrier and/or nuke boomers deployed?

It's my understanding that Russia has become rather well-funded recently with oil, natural gas, and diamonds. They have engaged in naval training excercises off the east coast and with Nicaragua (sp?) within the past year.

I wouldn't count them out. You might want do to do a google on the topic.

Last I heard their carriers and Boomers were in a sad state.

There is a great deal of concern that their nuclear powerplants are in danger of "rusting" and leaking.

They still have the Admiral Kuznetsov operational.

Norway i still funding the clean-up of old nuclear subs in Murmansk. Why on earth we are paying for this is beyond my comprehension. Especially since we have cut our defence-spendings drastically.

I heard on the news today that our soldiers are down to firing just 100 rounds with their new HK416`s each during their entire 12 months service!
