EdmondFirst upgrade ever for the Bundeswehr MG3 in 60 years of service.
First upgrade ever for the Bundeswehr MG3 in 60 years of service.
The MG 42-59 that was adopted as MG3 by the Federal Republic of Germany is a direct conversion of the MG 42 used by the Wehrmacht during WW2, in 7.62x51mm NATO, like so many offsprings (Austrian MG 74, Turkish MG and others).
Upgrade includes a new coating, Picatinny rail, adjustable bipod, stock with cheekpiece and ground spade for the visible part, an integrated buffer, cyclic rate reducer, modified safety and built in round counter among other less visible modications.
