What are the odds that the NDPers make it permanent and then include no vehicles and only hiking in AB

If you have that much to fight for, then you should be fighting. The sentiment that modern day ordinary Canadians do not need firearms for protection is pleasant but unrealistic. To discourage responsible deserving Canadians from possessing firearms for lawful self-defence and other legitimate purposes is to risk sacrificing them at the altar of political correctness."

I doubt it. They actually have a pretty good relationship with the ATV groups. I think it's just a desperate measure in desperate times. It sounds as though commercial users...ie outfitters will have an exemption.

We have had a couple of such fire related restrictions in my life time here in wis. even going so far as to shut down the forest industry.

After a few rains all back to normal.

Apparently guides and their clients are exempt, considered "commercial use ", which is allowed, as are Natives. Makes you question the whole point of a ban.

My brother in law was out west of rocky fishing yesterday. He said atvs were ripping around everywhere as if no ban at all.

^ Give me a list of fires caused by ATVs in Alberta. I have never heard of a fire caused by ATVs here in central Alberta. Been here since 1980.

The vast majority are caused by lightning.

A small percentage by guys trying to clear grass/brush.

The fire ban is an over-reaction to a fire, which started wrong place, with perfect conditions.

Sad that it has impacted so many people, but the reactions of people when you try to discuss the fire ban or ATV ban are just whacko, if you ask me.

It's just Govt over-reach if you ask me.

And I'm pretty much SICK of Govt, and especially this bunch of LEFT-WING SOCIALIST CLOWNS.

I'm loading up my ATV and going bear hunting this week, whether they lift the fucking ATV ban or not.

I've talked to a lot of people about the ban and most are happy that the noise is gone Even if only temporary. The only ones complaining are the people who have no respect for the environment and just rip it up when they can. Responseable riders are willing to wait.

Not sure I'd agree 100% with that oddsix....it seems a lot are upset that commercial use of ATVs is still permitted but a recreational hunter wanting to bait bears can't.

If you got a problem with me going out on my quad, come catch me.

And btw, the coat of arms of the Province of Alberta was established long before the current bunch of clowns ever snuck into office.

So I have no problem displaying it.

Well your recreational enjoyment is more important than the homes of others so have at it.
It's funny how we pick on the NDP when The previous gov sucked just as hard if not harder.
Either way have a great weekend.
