I will in Vancouver for one day on my way home from B.C are there any good gun/outdoors shops in Vancouver worth have a look at?

There are two gunstores in Vancouver that are worth bothering with and one in North Vancouver. These are Reliable Gun on Fraser St., phone 604-874-4710 and Italian Sports on Renfrew St., phone 604-254-7513. European Arms in North Van. is a bit out of your way, but, has some VERY fine (and pricey) guns, phone 604-984-9508, they are on Pemberton.

There are others in the Greater Vancouver Area, but, none of them are very impressive and I don't bother with them. The three above can/will export for you if you find a gun that you just have to have, Luigi at European has stuff that will make you drool. Hope this helps.

There is a branch of Mountain Equipment Co-op in Vancouver. MEC has a lot of good outdoor gear, somewhat like REI was 30 years ago. Since it is a Canadian big-city chain, it is not very hunter-friendly, however.


Liberals believe that criminals are just like them and guns cause crimes. Conservatives believe criminals are different and that it is the criminals that cause crimes. Maybe both are right and the solution is to keep guns away from liberals.
