Jack D BoldOff to NWT in 7 days!
Dreaming of a snow white twister, perched on high places.
Hard, but in reach. Just DON"T GIVE UP!
Take a ram that will make my guide proud of his hunting abilities.
Hoping the weather gods will be kind.
Gear is selected, double checked, and laid out ready to pack.
Check, double check, and triple check.
Ready to rock and roll.
Mountain caribou tag in pocket, hope to find the time in a 10 day hunt.
Arctic Red River outfitters will be the host. Did some homework, they check out.
Cannot wait!!

AzGuyJack,
Best of luck to you.

I did a very similar hunt in NWT about 15 years ago....hope your legs are "ready".
Will the "Boo-daddys" (caribou) still be in velvet? If so, they make a spectacular trophy.

Don BJack,
I'm leaving in two weeks for the Yukon for the same species, as I've mentioned. I have planned this saturday to lay out all the gear one more time, to reconsider all the included stuff, and possibly shuffle towards lighter weight. I can't wait! Good luck on ya, sir.
Don
PS just for grins, lay it out for me.....
Backpack, boots, sleeping bag, pad, rifle, binocs, etc

AZ,
Nope, just water for me. Clean and sober 20 years, 4 months, 22 days. Amazing what happens when you let God do His thing. Cubanos and hunting are my only vices - if you don't ask wifey that is.

AzGuyJack,
Good for you!
Just checked my notes from my NWT hunt...we took 3 very nice rams. Shooting distances were 310yds, 140yds, and 65yds.
Look forward to your hunt report.
