Bo RichBison Hunting
Has anyone hunted "Free range" Bison in Alberta? I'm interested in this, but would like some input from those who have done this hunt. Are the Bison truely "Free range" animals? Could you recomend a good guide for the above. Thanks, Bo

Canuck32Its a draw hunt to AB residents and yes they are free range animals
If you have that much to fight for, then you should be fighting. The sentiment that modern day ordinary Canadians do not need firearms for protection is pleasant but unrealistic. To discourage responsible deserving Canadians from possessing firearms for lawful self-defence and other legitimate purposes is to risk sacrificing them at the altar of political correctness."

sheephunterabThere are free-range hunts on the east side of the province where no licence is required. I know there were a couple outfitters offering hunts there including Andrew Lake Lodge. You may want to check
www.apos.ab.ca for a full list of bison outfitters in Alberta.
