DeweyMy, my, another scam by an outfitter and an aboriginal one, at that, what a surprise....not!
I fail to see why the American F.B.I. would be involved in this as they have no jursidiction here in Canada and it is VERY unpopular with Canadians to have foreign law enforcement in our country.
I doubt that much can/will be done here, for political reasons and it really sucks to see people ripped off this way, but, it ain't an uncommon situation.

Because it's likely a crime was committed in the US. If Tuttulik had cross border contact with anyone in the US, the FBI has the right to investigate in the US. If it's cross border the RCMP are usually cooperative in letting the FBI investigate crimes against its citizens... the same way we cooperate with the RCMP.
